About Me

I began my real estate career in 2003 and was one of the top new agents at my firm, with no prior experience, doing over $2.5 million in business my first year.  I sold 17 properties during my first two years, and the average List-to-Sell Ratio for the properties I listed was 98%, and Average Days on Market was just over 14.

I have also worked at Fidelity Investments, helping employees of non-profit entities maximize their retirement plans.  We received random surveys after interactions with customers, and I received an unprecedented 100% positive feedback on 62 surveys over the course of a year.

And for six years prior to that I was the sole proprietor of Powers Rare Books, a business I started on a shoestring and grew to $200,000 in annual revenue.  That may not sound like much, and compared to Wal Mart or IBM it’s not, but there are very few booksellers who can support a growing family solely on the income derived from bookselling.  I succeeded in doing so for nine straight years.

I’ve lived in Manchester for over twenty years, have been married for the same period, and have three fine teenage boys, all of whom are already taller than me!  I am a proud supporter of both Habitat for Humanity and The Way Home, an award-winning nonprofit agency based in Manchester dedicated to providing an integrated approach to success in safe and affordable housing.  I also volunteer with the Central High School Association of Music Supporters (CHAMPS) and Canine Commitment of New England, an animal rescue organization.
